			<title>Drummond</title>
			<itunes:author>Wisconsin Public Television</itunes:author>
<itunes:summary>Drummond in Bayfield County was created as a classic &#34;company town.&#34; In 1882, Frank Drummond was hired to build a mill in the heart of a great pine forest. The town that bore his name grew as a place for the lumber workers to live. It had the requisite company store, and those who lived there were tied to the town for all their needs. In the 1920s, as the forests were being cut down, new businesses entered the area, the automobile offered mobility and independence, and the influence of the mill diminished.</itunes:summary>

			<title>Fish Ladder</title>
			<itunes:author>Wisconsin Public Television</itunes:author>
<itunes:summary>The Beckman Mill in Rock County is a case study in local action. Area people have worked to restore the historic gristmill and the dam that fed it. Given the modern era&#39;s awareness of the environment, that also required building a fish passageway, or fish ladder, so small species swimming upstream life would not be adversely affected. The project, completed primarily with volunteer labor and materials, has become a major source of pride for the community. &#34;The Power of Water&#34; visits over the course of the passageway&#39;s construction. Robert Fosler of the Friends of Beckman Mill shows off with pride the fish passageway construction.</itunes:summary>

			<title>Greendale</title>
			<itunes:author>Wisconsin Public Television</itunes:author>
<itunes:summary>Greendale was an experiment in modern living, one of the &#34;greenbelt&#34; communities that the federal government built during the Depression. In 1938, the community near Milwaukee took shape. All the homes were on cul de sacs, with walking paths connecting them. Children could walk to school without crossing a street. The houses were built to last, constructed as they were of cinder block. The structures were called &#34;backward houses&#34; because of the way utility rooms with washer, water heater and furnace were located in the front for easy access. In time, the residents were given the opportunity to buy the houses.</itunes:summary>

			<title>My Life by Water</title>
<itunes:author>Created by Brent Notbohm, Nicholas Langholff, and The Friends of Lorine Niedecker</itunes:author>
<itunes:summary>Lorine Niedecker (1903-1970) was the shy daughter of a carp fisherman, and mother that went deaf. She lived much of her life along the flooding Rock River, in a barren cottage without electricity or running water. Lorine grew up on Blackhawk Island, near Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, while writing fierce poetry. She worked as a cleaning woman in a local hospital, and unknown to most of her acquaintances, notable poets worldwide admired her, such as Marianne Moore, William Carlos Williams, Cid Corman, Basil Bunting, Adrienne Rich and Louis Zukofsky. With the sights and sounds of her rustic environs as frequent metaphors, Niedecker&#8217;s poetry explored issues of gender, domesticity, and sexual politics long before modern feminism.

			<title>The Reversible Oxidation of Copper</title>
			<itunes:author>Bassam Shakhashiri</itunes:author>
<itunes:summary>This video clip demonstrates the heating of copper metal in air. The hot copper metal reacts with oxygen in the air, converting the metal to black copper oxide. After turning the burner off, the oxygen is removed from the oxide by bathing the hot copper oxide in hydrogen gas. This converts the copper oxide back to copper metal.
