about ide@s How does ide@s work? Selected PK-16 educators from Wisconsin work in teams to identify, evaluate, catalog, and align to the state education standards resources that are already on the internet such as lesson plans and reference materials. These resources are then made available from the ide@s search engine. Now, you don't have to look through dozens of online listings to find the resource you need. The ide@s search engine allows you to tell it specifically what you need to find then it searches the database for you. You can read teacher reviews of the resources and see exactly which state standards they address. ide@s saves you time while focusing instruction and technology on Wisconsin's Model Academic Standards. Plus, you know you're getting a quality resource that other Wisconsin educators have recommended. Sponsors The following sponsors continue to provide financial support for the ide@S Portal Website. Their support enables ide@s to provide online access to quality educational resources aligned with the Wisconsin Model Academic Standards. We thank them for their support. How Can I Get Involved?
1. You can get involved by applying to work on a future ide@s research team by filling out the online application form. Feedback ide@s is part of Dr. James Lerman's book, "Essential Websites for Educational Leaders in the 21st Century." Educational websites were selected based on ease of access, content of value, ease of navigation, credibility/reliability of content, and relevance for the reader. Just a compliment to all of the effort teachers and other educators have gone to in order to make this sight useful for the sake of ALL of our students! THANK YOU! - Administrator, Verona I liked the ease of finding information in different categories such as grade level, topic, and sub-skill....great idea - I hope this continues to grow and is shared with as many Wisconsin educators as possible. - 5th Grade Teacher, Beaver Dam This is a great site that I found very useful as I was rewriting my ethnic groups unit. I wanted to incorporate technology into the unit, and this site did just that. - 4th Grade Teacher, Amherst This is an excellent starting point for teachers looking for educational materials. It includes links to curriculum resources and professional associations. - The Wisconsin Alumni Association Awards
